Beer from a local brewery, a rock band on a stage sponsored by the neighborhood's own real estate brokerage, and a crowd that doesn't thin out until well after dark. The same stretch of sand runs an entirely different program two days later. Same stage. Same street. A different beach altogether.

The contrast is worth a look: Friday brings an evening concert, while Sunday offers a midday set.

Friday Night Runs Into the Evening

Firepit Fridays run from 7 to 9 p.m. at 68th Street Beach in Brant Beach, and the township's own recreation page lays out exactly who is paying for what. Air Technical Services signed on as the Grand Friday Night Sponsor. ManaFirkin Brewing Company holds the bar and concession stand, pouring beer and seltzers every single week of the season. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Zack Shore REALTORS, the same brokerage Paula Brennan works under, sponsors the stage itself.

The 2026 season opened June 26 with The Polish Nannies and has moved through Glenn Roberts Band, Garden State Radio, Man Down, and a run of acts built for a crowd that showed up to stay past sunset. On July 24, the band on stage was Frontiers, a classic rock tribute act, with the Delicias Sobre Ruedas food truck and ManaFirkin both set up on site, according to a local weekend roundup published that week. The same piece notes a detail worth planning around: dogs aren't permitted on Long Beach Township beaches during the summer season, service animals excepted, and parking fills in fast enough that arriving with time to spare matters more than arriving with the right chair.

Sunday Midday Runs from Noon to Two

Two days after Frontiers played to a bonfire crowd, the same stage hosted East Two Three at noon on July 26, part of a completely separate series called Sundays at 68th St. This one runs from noon to 2 p.m., not evening. There's no brewery sponsor listed and no mention of a bar at all. The lineup leans toward acoustic and tribute acts rather than party bands built for a nine o'clock crowd: The Samantha Dress Collective opened the 2026 season on June 28, followed by The Metaphoricals, Naughty Pines, and later in the summer, The Black Ties, Innlet, and Gypsy Moon.

It's the same physical stage, and the Sunday series announcement confirms it: local musicians perform on the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Zack Shore REALTORS stage on Sundays too. The hours give the two series different rhythms. A two-hour midday set lets a family already spread out on towels catch a set without giving up the rest of their beach day. Nobody is arriving for this one after dinner.

Same Weekend, Two Different Series

The weekend of July 24 through 26 highlights the differences between the two series: they ran on separate days, at different times, with different acts.

The Street That Connects the Bay to the Ocean

Part of why 68th Street works as the township's social center is geography as much as programming. The ocean beach where both concert series happen sits at one end of 68th Street.
